14 young people from Alrowwad Centre for Culture & Arts in Bethlehem, Palestine will visit the UK this summer to experience life outside the constraints of their daily lives inside a refugee camp.
See them live in London, the Festival Fringe, Fringe Central Programme, Just Festival and the Festival of Politics in Edinburgh, Greenbelt Arts Festival and at special events in Bristol, Leeds & Derby.
Alrowwad uses dance, music and film to help young Palestinian refugees to break the cycle of violence and oppression that they experience daily.
The UK tour will showcase Alrowwad’s take on Palestinian Dabka Dance and feature a wide-range of special guests including Martyn Joseph, Reem Kelani, Garth Hewitt, Harry Baker, Grace Petrie, Katey Brooks, Saffron Records and others.
“As Palestinian refugees, we don’t have the luxury of despair. We choose Beautiful Resistance.”
Abdelfattah A Abusrour, Alrowwad Centre for Culture & Arts
