‘TANJA’ is an impassioned call to arms, a play and a campaign. “Tanja” blends spoken word, drama, dance, puppetry, live music, sign language and verbatim theatre.
It stars former Yarls Wood detainee Emily Ntshangase-Wood, who has also been a long standing volunteer and supporter of City of Sanctuary and was discovered by the Strawberry Blonde Curls Theatre Company at Sanctuary in Parliament last year. Emily is playing the lead actor and funding has been secured from Arts Council England to make it happen.
Strawberry Blonde Curls want to link with CofS branches across the country and can offer free creative workshops to all of them when in their area – there’ll also be some free tickets and subsidised tickets available.
